Though our wedding is over, I thought it would be fun to continue to partake in the tradition. Each Wednesday (from now until I get tired of doing it) I am going to post a picture from the weekend of our wedding and share a little bit about it or the significance of the person/people in the picture (I'm all about alliterations, and since there is not a day of the week that starts with P I'll stick with Wedding Wednesday as my platform for sharing!). It may be a picture I have already shared on the blog but with a bit of detail as to why it's a favorite of mine.

This is a picture a friend snapped of my grandmother (Who as a toddler I lovingly bestowed the name, "Gaga") and I at the reception. It's one of my (many) favorites thus far from the wedding. My grandmother is one of the most important people in my life and has served as an amazing role model throughout my entire life. She and my grandfather were unable to make it to my graduation in May because of her health and my prayer, almost since the day CSB and I got engaged, was that she and my grandfather would be there to watch me walk down the isle. Words cannot express how blessed I felt to have both of them there when CSB and I said, "I do". I am thankful for my Gaga beyond measures and can only hope to be half the woman, wife, friend, and grandmother she is.

happy wednesday! tomorrow is my thursday/friday at work and I am stoked to be one day closer to the weekend. honestly, though, I can't complain about this week. I took a "sub" day Monday to finish up reports, score standardized tests, and basically catch up. Today I came home willingly was sent home before 9 a.m. A little tummy bug made it's way to me and I wasn't quite up to par... And also didn't want to pass it along further! As much as I hated taking a sick day, I know it was best. I spent all day sleeping through DVR'ed trash tv and hanging out with paisley pup. I am definitely feeling better, just battling a headache from a lack of caffeine (as my morning coffee did not agree with me today). CSB came to check on me and brought a diet dr. pepper with vanilla from Sonic which is definitely helping. So, all of that being said, I have technically only worked one day this week.

Crazy! On one hand, it seems like such a short amount of time... One the other it seems to still be so far away.

I'm slowly but surely marking items off my to do list. We had quite a wrench thrown into our plans 2 weeks ago (another post for another day) but are determined to make it work. 

Here are some DIY projects myself, my wedding planner, my mom, and my wonderful bridesmaids (though some of them may not know it yet) will be tackling in the coming months leading up to the wedding.

wedding wednesday... errr, thursday

I'm a day late. Not suprising with the week I have had thus far! I love my job with all of my heart but it has taken all of my energy this week. Last night I cam home, took a half hour break, and then worked until almost 10. Sheesh! So worth it, though. :)

Back to the topic at hand... Wedding Wednesday (Thursday). CSB and I received our first wedding gift today! And I opened it. And then considered etiquette. Am I supposed to do this??

wedding wednesday

While on summer break last week I made lots of progress on (some past due) wedding projects. 

My sweet mama helped me stuff save the date envelopes and I addressed over half of them. 

We also worked on reception ribbon wands. My Gaga (grandmother) even got in on the ribbon-cuting for awhile! 

In other wedding news... My dress is HERE! I went by tonight and tried her on right after work. I'm SO excited!! :) 

She was definitely snug but I am not too worried about dropping a few between now and October and am officially motivated to get back into a good workout/running routine. 

P.S. Did I mention our engagement pictures are here?? I wanted to share them with my family first but will be posting them tomorrow or Friday. 

wedding wednesday/i'm back!

Blog friends! Hi! It's been awhile (again), I know. Seriously, I have excuses reasons. My big girl job, first of all, is taking up my days (as a full time real life job should. welcome to the real world.). I love it, don't get me wrong, but I haven't quite settled into a rhythm. I look forward to the eventual days of not going in early/staying late every. single. day. 

Secondly, I've been studying myself silly for boards. I took my exam on Monday night and can only wait until next Wednesday to know the results. Nerves, nerves, nerves! 

Also, my sweet brother and momma got me a new toy for graduation: 

I'm obsessed and have in result opened Molly the MacBook quite a bit less frequently in the last few weeks. Less MacBook opening=less no blogging. I haven't even been reading my favorite blogs lately because I've just been that busy!
