wedding wednesday

{Though I've been blogging for some time now, and a lot of my posts are focused on our wedding, I've never done an official "wedding wednesday" post. So, here goes nothing!}

CSB and I picked up our printed save the dates today. So. excited! He has been a good little groom and gathered all of his addresses... Me? Not so much.

Now, to decide on how to address them! We are going with (100% recycled!) kraft paper envelopes. I have always loved using kraft paper for projects and as stationary and thought the envelopes would be a fun touch. Now, to decide how to address said envelopes. CSB is dead set on printing them. Me? Not so much. I have an obsession with all things written, pens, and paper and have already decided I will be addressing both our save the dates and invitations.

Which one is your favorite? Did you undertake the task of addressing your own invites?

We had ours done by a friend who is a calligrapher as a wedding gift...

OK, the 2nd one has my complete heart and I will be addressing all mail like this from now on until forever and ever amen. BUT the last one has my eyes... your handwriting is beautiful, they will be perfect!

What about printing them in a handwriting font. I'm LOVING that first one. I have a ton of fonts on one of my externals (haha!!) I could look through, if you'd like.

i agree.. handwritten would be so special.. but hard! i addressed the invites for my best friends bridal shower.. all 75 of them.. it's hard but totally doable! good luck :)

Love, love, love the first one! :) It looks really elegant.. Like what Summer Safrit said, how about printing them in a handwritten font to save on time? Lots of free pretty fonts at dafont.com.. :) But of course, if you're up to personally writing all of them, that would be great too! :)

By the way, congratulations on your new degree, Lori! Awesome accomplishment!

I found your blog through Gentri Lee and I love it! I'm a newly-wed and your blog has brought back the wonderful memories of wedding preps.. :)

Hugs,
Rochelle

Jason and I addressed all 200 of our invitations and wax stamped them. It was fun. However, we didn't do save the dates and our RSVP return envelopes were printed which was really nice.

I like the first one as well but I'm drawn to the natural paper look... so that could be why.
